Life apprentice. Still figuring it out—and documenting it along the way.

Photography and filmmaking have long been my favorite ways of making sense of the world. I’ve always been drawn to cinema—the kind that pulls you into another reality—and to photography, where even silence can feel beautifully chaotic when captured just right.

With roots in both French-Canadian and Brazilian cultures, I grew up in an Anglophone environment in Ottawa (yes, I contain multitudes). For the past 18 years, I’ve called Montreal home—a city that continues to inspire me creatively and keep me well-fed.

I studied Video Production and Graphic Design at Concordia University’s Continuing Education program between 2004 and 2010, where I also discovered photography. Darkroom courses quickly became my happy place—a space that no longer exists with the rise of digital photography, but whose magic stays with me. There’s something almost magical about watching an image slowly come to life in near-total darkness.

More recently, I completed an AEC (Attestation d’études collégiales) in Commercial Photography at Dawson College, earning my diploma in 2021. Today, I work primarily with digital photography—DSLR and mirrorless cameras—while still chasing that same sense of discovery. I also enjoy experimenting with different visual styles and tools, like Adobe Photoshop, because sometimes reality just needs a little remix.

I’m endlessly curious about art in all its forms, and that curiosity has taken me across the globe. From Brazil to Sweden, Mexico to Italy, and an 800 km pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago in Spain (yes, my feet still remember), travel has shaped both my perspective and my work. Closer to home, I’ve crossed Canada by car—from Abbotsford, BC to Gaspé, QC—collecting stories and snapshots along the way.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. For me, that’s especially true—because while words don’t always come easily, my camera rarely hesitates.
