Maïra Christine
Life apprentice. Camera in hand.
I’m a Montreal-based photographer and filmmaker with French-Canadian and Brazilian roots, shaped by an Anglophone childhood in Ottawa. I studied Video Production and Graphic Design at Concordia University, discovered the magic of the darkroom (RIP), and more recently completed an AEC in Commercial Photography at Dawson College in 2021.
Fascinated by art in all its forms, I let curiosity take me across the globe—travel fuels the way I see and capture the world.
Today, I shoot mostly digital—DSLR and mirrorless—always chasing moments that feel honest, cinematic, and a little unexpected. I also like bending reality a bit with Photoshop, because sometimes an image deserves a remix.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Good thing—my camera usually speaks first.
